I am a former figure competitor struggling with finding “normal” ways to train and diet. I am working to mend myself.
I am a positive person. I live to smile and make people smile. I love kindness.
I am a mom, a wife, a full-time employee and a grad student.
I have motivation, a drive that I cannot satisfy. I am always looking to enhance or help. I am a people pleaser who feels as though there is always more to do, always more that will help, that there is never a finish line.
I think that’s it 🙂
It was hard for me to find others going through a similar situation. I know you are out there! Please share your stories! We can use this blog to discuss ups and down, successes and bumps along the way. Follow me in my struggles on my road to recovery.

This is incredible! A very unique story. It can be very difficult to find a place of diet and fitness that our individual bodies accept and fall into harmony and balance with. Looking forward to seeing how you progress!

Thanks for stopping by my page. I read some of your stuff, and even though I haven’t had children yet, I know I will feel the way you do when you made that comment about not being ready to step in the gym yet because you are expected to look a certain way. It’s something I’m struggling with and I’m not even pregnant yet! It’s really just a pressure we put on ourselves because everyone else understands.
I’m excited to follow your blog. Maybe we can learn a little from each other 🙂 Thanks for sharing 🙂

so glad we found each other…competition can be a great experience but also cause a lot of issues. I know it did for me and I’m happier now living a life where I exercise because I enjoy it 110% and eat foods that nourish my body and tantalise my taste buds. Finding balance takes time but it sounds like you are on the right path. Keep up the good work 🙂

It is so great hearing from someone who has been through this and come out positive through it all. Thank you for your comment. I am very excited that we found each other! If you have any tips for getting through this, I would love to discuss 🙂

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! I look forward to following along with you and joining in the journey! I am also trying to find a happy medium after having had kids and while I wouldn’t mind looking better I know a lot of my motivation comes from wanting to feel better and have more energy for my kids and husband.
Blessings!

Among other things, I am a retailer in the sports nutrition industry & have encountered many former fitness competitors that are trying to balance life & maintaining a certain level of fitness. I look forward to following your journey.
